The DOT® Line 24 (5/8") Nickel-Plated Brass Snap Fastener Gypsy Stud, also known as a double stud or "stud-to-stud," is a versatile snap component designed for joining multiple layers of fabric in both canvas-to-canvas and canvas-to-surface applications.

It is mated with a socket—similar to how the dome portion functions—which then snaps onto a bottom stud. This allows an additional layer of material to be secured over the first, making it possible to stack and fasten multiple layers together. This configuration is commonly used when layered materials must be attached in sequence—for example: rear-facing canvas → window material → front-facing canvas.
