TF 218 Black Nylon Oval Twist-Lock Fastener Set

The TF 218 Black Nylon Oval Twist-Lock Fastener Set from Fasnap Corp. is a versatile, all-in-one fastening solution ideal for biminis, automotive soft tops, tents, covers, and other applications.

Made from 66 nylon acetyl resin, this set is durable and resists the corrosion and rot that often affect metal fasteners. Not recommended for strength-critical applications.

Installation Guide:

• Stud & backplate: First, mark and cut two (2) prong holes in rear-facing canvas using the 147-2 1/8" Snap Fastener Hole Punch or similar tool. Next, insert the stud through the holes, flip the canvas over, and attach the backplate onto the prongs, pressing firmly until you hear an audible click and the two pieces are firmly in place.
• Eyelet and washer: Start by positioning the eyelet in the desired location and tracing the inside of the hole. Then, use a 7/16" (#3) hole cutter to create two (2) side-by-side holes within—or slightly beyond—the traced lines. For more precise cuts, you may alternatively use a razor blade or a hot knife. Next, using the same 1/8" hole punch used for the stud, cut two (2) holes for the prongs. Finally, insert the eyelet from the top, flip the canvas over, and install the washer with the teeth facing down. Press firmly until you hear an audible click, ensuring the assembly is securely locked in place.
