Care Instructions

Washing & Drying:

  • Wash: Machine wash hot, 60 °C (140 °F)
  • Drying: Tumble drying medium, 50 °C (122 °F)
  • Ironing: Do not iron
  • Dry-Cleaning: Do not dry clean

Cleaning & Bleaching:

  • Prompt Cleaning: Maintain peak retro-reflective performance by laundering contaminated apparel promptly; delayed cleaning may result in permanent staining and reduced visibility
  • Stain Removal: Avoid using high-alkaline cleaning agents, such as heavy-duty stain removers, as these can damage the material
  • Bleaching: Do not bleach

Storage and Maintenance:

  • Environmental Conditions: Product should be stored in a cool, dry area at temperatures between 4 °C and 27 °C (40 °F to 80 °F) with less than 70% relative humidity
  • Shelf Life: Product should be used within two years from the date of purchase

Description

The 3M™ Scotchlite™ 6187 High-Gloss Lime/Yellow Sew-On Reflective Trim is specifically designed to improve visibility in both daytime and low-light or nighttime conditions, ensuring safety in various environments. Featuring high-gloss, retroreflective microprisms, this tape provides exceptional brightness and reflectivity from all angles. Ideal for use in safety vests, harnesses, uniforms, jackets, outerwear, armbands, straps, and belts, it enhances the wearer's visibility in hazardous settings, making it perfect for workers in construction, transportation, and emergency response roles. Durable and flexible, this tape is engineered for long-lasting performance in both indoor and outdoor applications.

Application Instructions:

  • Sew in place using a lockstitch, with no more than 8 stitches per inch (2.54 cm)
  • Position stitching no less than 1/8" (3 mm) from the edge of the reflective material
  • Material can be cut by hand, die-cut, or guillotined
  • When applying multiple pieces to a single surface or as part of a set, ensure they are matched to maintain consistent daytime color and nighttime reflectivity
