Care Instructions

Washing & Drying:

  • Wash: Machine wash warm, 40 °C (105 °F)
  • Drying: Tumble drying low
  • Ironing: Medium iron, 150 °C (300 °F)
  • Dry-Cleaning: Dry-clean, normal cycle

Cleaning & Bleaching:

  • Prompt Cleaning: Maintain peak retro-reflective performance by laundering contaminated apparel promptly; delayed cleaning may result in permanent staining and reduced visibility
  • Stain Removal: Avoid using high-alkaline cleaning agents, such as heavy-duty stain removers, as these can damage the material
  • Bleaching: If bleaching is required, only non-chlorine bleach should be used

Storage and Maintenance:

  • Environmental Conditions: Product should be stored in a cool, dry area at temperatures between 4 °C and 27 °C (40 °F to 80 °F) with less than 70% relative humidity
  • Shelf Life: Product should be used within two years from the date of purchase

Description

The 3M™ Scotchlite™ 8910 Silver Sew-On Reflective Tape is designed to greatly enhance the nighttime visibility of the wearer. It consists of exposed, wide-angle lenses bonded to a durable cloth backing. It's used in accessories, safety vests, uniforms, harnesses, rainwear, jackets, outerwear, active wear, headwear, handwear, backpacks, armbands, straps, belts, cut-out letters and numbers, patches, and crests.

Application Instructions:

  • Sew in place using a lockstitch, with no more than 12 stitches per inch (2.54 cm)
  • Position stitching at least 5/64" (2 mm) from the edge of the reflective fabric
  • Material can be cut by hand, die-cut, or guillotined
  • When applying multiple pieces to a single surface or as part of a set, ensure they are matched to maintain consistent daytime color and nighttime reflectivity

Available in 1/2", 1", and 2" widths.
