Using these dies with stainless steel grommets can lead to premature wear, loss of definition on the forming surfaces, or misalignment of the dies—all of which may affect setting quality and reduce tool life.

This set has two components—the die (anvil), which holds the grommet in place, and the punch, which secures the grommet by folding its rim tightly around the material. Its compact size makes it ideal for DIY enthusiasts or small-shop professionals seeking a dependable, budget-friendly tool.

We recommend using a soft-face mallet—such as the No. 395-3U Urethane Split Head Hammer—with this grommet setting die to prevent "mushrooming" of the punch and ensure clean, precise grommet installation.
