The DOT® Common Sense® Twist-Lock Fastener Prong Stud is one male component option in the Common Sense ("Turn Button") fastener system for canvas-to-canvas applications.

Made from sturdy nickel-plated brass, DOT-brand fasteners offer exceptional corrosion resistance and outstanding outdoor durability, making them the preferred choice in 99% of marine applications.

Installation is simple: (1) mark and cut two prongs in the rear-facing fabric using the 4140 2-Prong Hand Punch or similar tool, (2) install the stud, then flip the canvas over and position the included washer in between the two prongs, and (3) secure the assembly by folding the prongs inward over the washer.
