Installation Note: When pre-drilling, holes should be slightly larger than the screw shank. Fastener spacing depends on the application—tight radiuses may require spacing of 2 to 2-1/2 inches, while flatter or more stable mounting surfaces may allow 4 to 8 inches between holes. Only flat-head screws must be used, as other fastener styles can interfere with the welt and proper operation.

Heat Warning: If using a heat gun to form the track, apply heat gradually and with caution. Do not crimp, pinch, or collapse the awning track, as this will restrict or prevent the awning rope from sliding properly through the channel.

Description

The 45" (4-1/2" ft) Flex-A-Rail Plastic Center Awning Rail is a versatile awning track that easily follows curves and corners. Made from extruded PVC, it can be bent with steam or a heat gun when needed. It’s simple to cut with a hacksaw and fine-tune with a Dremel. Use it with a 9/32" keder or vinyl awning rope for a tight, weather-resistant seal—just attach the rope to fabric or a zipper and slide it into the track groove.
