Stainless steel is a much harder alloy than typical plain rim grommet
materials. Using these dies with stainless steel grommets can lead to
premature wear, loss of definition on the forming surfaces, or
misalignment of the dies—all of which may affect setting quality and
reduce tool life.

The No. 217-0 9/32" (#0) Spur Grommet Die Set, made by C.S. Osborne & Co., is a professional-grade die set designed for precision setting of 9/32" (#0) spur (rolled rim) grommets. CNC-machined from drop-forged, polished, high-grade tool steel, the dies are engineered for precision, durability, and long-term performance. Perfect for high-volume canvas, marine, and upholstery workshops, this die set delivers consistent, professional results in the most demanding environments.

We recommend using a soft-face mallet—such as the No. 395-3U Urethane Split Head Hammer—with this grommet setting die to prevent "mushrooming" of the punch and ensure clean, precise grommet installation.
