Stayput™ 3/16" (#6) Shock Cord Cover Clip

The Stayput™ 3/16" (#6) Shock Cord Cover Clip is used as an alternative to traditional marine fasteners for use in environments where corrosion resistance is essential, or for securing enclosure panels or curtains that need to be gently stretched for a proper fit on the boat. Made from UV-stabilized nylon components, Stayput™ Fasteners provide exceptional corrosion resistance for long-term, trouble-free operation, particularly in marine environments.

The fastener is made up of three (3) parts: a 3/16" (#6) shock cord loop, a cover clip, and a retaining screw that holds the fastener in place. Together, these components create a secure yet flexible fastening system that allows for quick installation and removal while maintaining consistent tension and a clean, low-profile appearance.

Installation is easy: (1) mark the desired location and cut a 1/4" (#0) hole for the fastener, (2) insert the retaining screw through the back of the fabric, and (3) place the cover clip onto the screw and gently tap it with a soft-faced mallet until it is securely crimped. Once installed, the fastener is ready to be stretched over a 3/16" (#6) lacing knob or a similar anchor point.
