TENAX® Self-Locking Fastener Nickel-Plated Brass Button

The TENAX® Self-Locking Fastener Nickel-Plated Brass Button is the upper part of the complete self-locking TENAX fastener system. It pairs with any of the compatible TENAX pegs and can be used in both canvas-to-canvas and canvas-to-surface applications. Its self-locking mechanism keeps it securely fastened and releases only when the top head is intentionally pulled upward.

Made from durable nickel-plated brass, it performs well in outdoor, moisture-exposed applications such as convertible tops, marine covers, tarps, and other heavy-duty fastening needs. Engineered for strength and longevity, it delivers reliable performance even in harsh environments while maintaining a clean, professional finish.

Installation is simple: (1) plan and cut a 9/32" – 5/16" (#1) hole in your canvas, (2) insert the threaded base of the button through the hole, and (3) fasten it in place with the toothed washer using the TENAX® Self-Locking Fastener Installation Key.
